Steam ID converter & finder

Paste any Steam identifier and get every format at once. Everything runs in your browser, except looking up a vanity name.

What each format is

SteamID64 is the 17-digit number (starting 7656119) Steam’s API uses. SteamID2 looks like STEAM_0:1:26039975. SteamID3 looks like [U:1:52079951]. A vanity URL is a custom name that its owner can change, so it is not a reliable identity.

All of them describe the same account: add the account ID to 76561197960265728 to get the SteamID64. Read the full explanation in our Steam ID formats guide.

Why it matters when trading

Names and custom URLs are easy to copy. Comparing SteamID64 values is the one reliable way to tell whether the person messaging you is the trader you intended to deal with. After converting, run a full trust check or read how to check if a trader is a scammer.
